YDUQS is a Brazilian holding company transforming higher education, serving over 750,000 students across multiple institutions. By bringing together diverse learning environments, YDUQS is creating new opportunities and driving meaningful change in the sector.
When the pandemic ended in early 2021, a new landscape emerged for higher education. Students, fully engaged in online learning, opened doors for ambitious EdTech projects.
This timing was critical: The Student App and our new Design System (Lift), were both in their infancy. My journey began as a UI designer on the app, joining within the first six months. Over the next three and a half years, I became deeply embedded in every phase and initiative tied to the Student App.
What stands out from that launch period is just how quickly things scaled. Within the first semester, over 40% of students were active users and the download rate exceeded 60%%. Experiencing this kind of rapid adoption was incredibly fulfilling and proved the value of iterative, learning-driven development. I viewed the company as a true learning laboratory, surrounded by designers and developers committed to progress.
Now, YDUQS has a robust team of designers working across both the Student App and Virtual Classroom, ensuring the spirit of experimentation and improvement continues.
